Who we Are

Fusion is A worshipping community designed for the college and Mitchell community to unite.

Fusion Church began in 2011 with a vision to provide an intergenerational community of faith for college students.

We believe our mission is to create a space for college students and the greater mitchell community to worship together, grow together, and lead and serve together fusing together heaven and earth.

Fusion:

The collision of 2 elements to form a new creation.

WE ARE A FUSION OF...

COMMUNITY

  • Believers from many walks of life coming together
  • College & greater community of Mitchell and beyond

OLD & NEW TRADITIONS OF WORSHIP

  • Integrating old church traditions, the teachings of John Wesley, and relevant, accessible, and authentic styles of music and teaching

US & GOD

  • When we are in relationship with God we are new creations
  • We join God to make God's kingdom new "on Earth as it is in Heaven"

We are a community on the journey of belonging and becoming made new in Christ

Our vision is that...

You would come and find a place where people of all demographics can worship together and experience the love and grace of Jesus.

OUR CORE VALUES

  • We value grace-filled hospitality in our:

    1. Welcoming of others

    2. Diversity of backgrounds & beliefs

    3. Caring for one another

We believe that when we offer hospitality in these ways we can create a infused community that embraces and celebrates our differences, helps one another to find a place to belong, and cares for each other on this journey called life.

  • We try to cultivate unhindered worship creating moments for connection with God that are:

    • Accessible. Worship songs should be sing-a-long-able (a word we made up) and sermons and liturgy should be understandable even if you haven’t been in the church sphere for much time. This also means that there are options available such as children’s church and youth group and online worship.
    • Relevant. The songs we sing and the messages we share should apply to your life. They should be practical things that help you to go about your week loving God and loving your neighbor more.
    • Authentic. Our worship might not be perfect, but it should be authentic. In worship we aim to open ourselves up to be vulnerable to God and with one another to be who God has created us to be.
At Fusion we value removing barriers to worship both on Sundays and in our day-to-day lives that get in the way of our connection with God.
  • We practice kingdom-minded experimentation by:

    • Having an openness to God and whatever form God might want to bring his kingdom about.
    • Being curious and exploring our gifts and passions.
    • Thinking strategically about new ways we might continue to share the good news with others.
  • We embrace a collaborative spirit by:

    • Empowering everyone to use their gifts as the body of Christ.
    • Moving from exploration to partnership.
    • Shifting from consumer to collaborator.
  • We believe all believers are called to:

    • Love our neighbors.
    • Share the good news of what Jesus has done in the scriptures and in our own lives.
    • Use our gifts and skills to join God's mission to bring God's kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven.

We live into a sent mindset by:

    • Investing our time and resources locally, regionally and globally.
    • Equipping and empowering all believers to "live sent" wherever they are.
