We believe that the Church is made up of people with unique gifts, talent, abilities, passions and callings that, when used for a common purpose, can change lives through the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are better together and everybody has something to offer.

To serve is to follow the example of Jesus. We encourage people to serve believing that through service we grow as disciples, learn about ourselves and remember that whatever we do for the last and the least, we do for the Lord. (Matthew 25:31-46)

missional partners

Because the Church is so much more than just the congregation at Fusion, we believe in partnering in God's work in the world by financially supporting service organizations and ministries that are strategically called to engage in mission where Fusion cannot. Our goal is that 15% of Fusion's budget would support the efforts of these ministry partners.

Monthly Missions partners:

Each month we feature a different Missions partner that includes organizations  both locally and globally who we support monetarily and through special giving and service projects.

First time visitor donations:

Every week, we offer to make a $5 donation on behalf of our first time visitors to one of six organizations. The organizations that we support through these efforts include Mitchell Regional Habitat for Humanity, Mitchell Weekend Snackpack Program, Abbott HouseTree of Life Ministry (Rosebud, SD),  LaGonave Alive (Haiti), and AsOne Ministries (Uganda),

How to Serve

Spiritual Gift Inventory

Want to serve, but aren't sure where to start? A helpful first step may be to start with what you are gifted for. Ministry Matters has a free spiritual gifts inventory that you can take by simply creating a profile on their page. After taking the inventory, you can learn more about your gifts by exploring the descriptions of the gifts listed on the site. The inventory and descriptions can be found here.

Serve Card

Want to get more information about what different ministry areas at Fusion do and how you can help out? Fill out our online Serve Card! Fill out the Serve Card and a staff member will be in touch with you to get you more info about volunteer opportunities. Filling out the card does not commit you to volunteer in an area, but instead begins a conversation where we will work with you to find a place to serve that is in line with your gifts, talents and passions.

Our Ministry

Prison Ministry

Fusion is proud to partner with the work of Living Stone Prison Church at Mike Durfee State Prison in Springfield, SD. Once a month a team from Fusion travels to the prison to be a part of the service to inmates in an effort to share the hope and fellowship of Jesus Christ. If you would like to be a part of this great ministry, you will need to fill out a waiver form as well as a DOC access approval form. Contact us with any questions!

The call to make disciples in Matthew 28 is a global one, so we believe that our call is to be engaged in discipleship on a global scale as well. This is done through ongoing ministry partnerships as well as through the frequent sending of teams to places like Rwanda, Uganda, Haiti and Guatemala. Our ministry partnerships with Dakota Wesleyan University, EEI, LaGonave Alive and others provide us with great opportunities to be a part of ongoing life and culture change through community development and education while also giving us a greater appreciation for the image of God represented in those that we serve.

Local Outreach

We believe that love must be made practical and should be expressed through our actions, not just our words. Whether it is participating in a community clean up day through Dakota Wesleyan University or the United Way, participating in a build for Habitat for Humanity or building garden boxes for the ladies at the Abbott House, we feel called to find practical ways of expressing our love through service. Projects vary throughout the year and as needs arise and we are always looking for ways that we can be actively engaged with the Mitchell area in order to show people the love of Jesus Christ.
